Denver, CO – In this era of intense competition, technology companies are looking for every edge to set themselves apart. Denver ad agency Kear/Stevens knows this well, having helped technology companies like Webroot Software and Decisioneering improve sales with marketing programs that distinguished them from their competitors.

Recently, two tech firms, Dean Technology of Farmingdale, NJ, and Windward Reports of Boulder, CO, hired Kear/Stevens to provide them with direction on how to differentiate themselves and develop a message unique to their respective products.
For Dean Technology, the challenge was to create a new, overarching company brand while maintaining the sub-brands of the three divisions under which the company sells its products. For Windward Reports, it was developing new print and Web advertising that promoted the ease-of-use of their products while conveying the company’s tongue-in-cheek sense of humor.
The final product for Dean Technology was a new corporate and brand identity that they launched at a recent industry trade show with a new booth design and collateral. “The new brand and look created by Kear/Stevens made a huge impact at the show and will continue to set us apart from others in this industry,” said Griffin Caruolo, Director of Corporate Strategy.
The new advertising developed for Windward Reports is just starting to run in industry magazines and on Web sites, but it’s already a success internally. “This direction is exactly what we were looking for to distance us from our competitors, both from a visual and message standpoint,” said Lisa Harris, Vice President of Marketing.
